For 8th–11th Graders: Coaching to Build Confidence and Clarity

Coaching is all about helping teens figure out where they want to go and how to get there. It’s a super collaborative process where I guide and support, but the teen is in the driver’s seat. They set the goals, decide what’s important, and steer the sessions. My job? To ask the right questions, provide helpful tools, and keep them motivated and accountable. It’s all about their growth and success.

The big difference is the focus:

• Coaching is about moving forward. It’s goal-focused, action-oriented, and all about helping teens take the steps they need to reach their potential. It’s not about fixing problems—it’s about building on their strengths and skills.
• Counseling, on the other hand, tends to focus on the past and works through emotional or mental health challenges like anxiety or trauma. That’s not my lane—counselors are trained professionals for that.

Great question! Coaching is all about the teen leading the way, with me guiding and supporting. Consulting, though, is more about me sharing expertise and providing advice. When it comes to college consulting, I’m the go-to for:
